Diana Carlin Joins Accelerant Research as Vice President, Client Services

Accelerant Research is pleased to announce that Diana Carlin has joined our team in the role of Vice President, Client Services.  Diana joins us with an extensive background in both the corporate and supply-side of research.  As a result, she brings a unique perspective to the research process, drawing on her experiences from a number of different industries (consumer package goods, retail, apparel, electronics) and having worked in a number of different research and management roles.

Much of Diana’s success to-date has been based on two key areas: 

  • Accomplishment through collaboration and relationship-building, with a clear line-of-sight on helping her clients achieve their objectives.
  • Finely honed creative problem solving skills that consider multiple perspectives.

As a result, she has gained a reputation for providing clients with the highest quality and most cost-effective research solutions that best meet their time sensitive needs.  Furthermore, she has the ability to conduct and understand detailed or complex analyses, yet transform data and analytic insights into a “story” that inspires executive leaders to take actions that will impact the bottom line.

At Accelerant, Diana will work closely with the two principals of Accelerant Research (Paul Rubenstein and Bill McDowell) in continuing to build and support superior client services.  Prior to joining Accelerant, Diana was the Director of Human Capital Analytics and Research at Lowe’s Companies.  Prior to that, she had held consumer research management positions at Lowe’s Companies, Newell-Rubbermaid and VF Corporation.  She also worked for a number of years as an independent research consultant. 

After 20 years of experience, she has conducted a wide array of research projects that include both qualitative and quantitative research design, analysis and modeling.  Examples of projects she has been involved in include: advertising/marketing communications research, brand research, tracking studies, segmentation, concept or product testing, attitude and usage studies, pricing research, employee opinion surveys, employee lifecycle research, and numerous consumer and employee focus groups and interviews.

Diana acquired an M.B.A. from University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Bryan Fellow) and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking and outdoor photography.
